The Defense of the Chapultepec Forest continues from the Congress of Mexico City, where the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo), chaired by Deputy Jesús Sesma, will take actions to gather documentary evidence to confirm whether the property at Montes Apalaches 525 ever had a land use of "residential with restrictions."
Following the creation of the 'Front for the Defense of the Chapultepec Forest' by legislators, neighbors, and activists, aimed at preventing real estate development at Montes Apalaches 525, members of all political forces represented in the Jucopo announced their intention to initiate legal actions against Inmobiliaria Trepi, which has sought an amparo trial.
"Today we will request from the Fourth District Judge in Administrative Matters of Mexico City the documentary evidence to defend the Chapultepec Forest," affirmed Jesús Sesma.
On October 28, a 'Front for the Defense of the Chapultepec Forest' was established with the participation of activists, civil organizations, and neighbors, who seek to prevent the construction of a real estate project at Montes Apalaches 525, approved by the Judiciary through the modification of land use of a protected natural area.
The president of the Jucopo, Jesús Sesma, announced that he will file a criminal complaint against the judges and those responsible for the alleged granting of non-existent land use to the Chapultepec Forest in favor of Inmobiliaria Trepi. Sesma has shared the complaint with the coordinators of all political forces in the local Legislative Power in order to gather signatures to present it no later than November 4.
The majority of the parliamentary groups and associations in the local Congress oppose what they consider an illegal and corrupt act by judges and individuals who seek to affect an important natural space in Mexico City.
